Bel Esprit Books is a small press publishing company operating out of Fort Worth, Texas. We publish fiction, nonfiction, and childrens books that help Christians keep going in the areas of home, health, finance, relationship, and skill. Our Kingdom work is to help you do yours.
You do not need a literary agent to be published by Bel Esprit Books. The process is as follows:
STEP ONE: Submit an article for The Keep Going Journal. Read the submission guidelines here. This article should provide a strong example of your writing style. It can be focused on the topic of your book idea or on another topic that interests you.
STEP TWO: Wait patiently to see if your article is accepted for publication. If you do not hear from one of our editors, then write a new article and try again until your work is selected.
STEP THREE: Write at least 25,000 words of your manuscript.
STEP FOUR: After your article is published and after you have written at least 25,000 words of your manuscript, submit a complete and detailed outline of your book idea, including information about why you are the best person to write it, in a Microsoft Word document to submission@nikamaples.com. Writers who have not been published in The Keep Going Journal and have not written at least 25,000 words of their manuscript will not be considered.
If you would like guidance to improve your writing and, as a result, your chances of being published by Bel Esprit Books or any publishing house, we encourage you to enroll in The Keep Writing Course. It offers the premiere instruction on how to write a book, taking you from Page One to Page Done in partnership with the Holy Spirit. There is simply no other course like it anywhere.
