Bill Gothard was a notable Christian minister, speaker, and writer who developed a Bible-based teaching program in the 1970’s.
He took his platform right around the same time that American culture was experiencing major changes in freedom and expression.
Though Bill never married or had children, he founded a curriculum and organization called the “Institute in Basic Life Principles.”
This curriculum centered heavily around character building skills for children and on living a godly lifestyle.
Bill’s curriculum and teachings seemed Biblically sound and, honestly, pretty great!
So what happened?
How did it all start to go so wrong?
Join me in this video as I discuss the life, work, and downfall of Bill Gothard and what important lessons we can learn from it all so we can avoid making the same mistakes.
